pot holders

We, Japanese have yearly cerebration at this  time of year.

“Let’s do Bo-Nen-Kai.” is particular conversations go on.

It is called ” Bo-Nen-Kai”, translated as “a year-end-party”. Japanese uses Chinese characters, which is an ideograph, so each sound has meaning. “Bo” means “forget, farewell”. “Nen” means “year”. “Kai” means “party”. I made several pot holders for bingo at Bo-Nen-Kai.

I knitted  6 x 7 inches square, and sawed backing.

Hope, they are appreciated.
